A compliant camera setup is required for participation in the online examination. Please read the Camera Setup and Conduct During the Examination document carefully and test your setup several days before the examination. Use the same room, desk, devices, camera position and lighting that you intend to use on the examination day.
Throughout the examination, the camera must provide a clear, stable and unobstructed view of:
- your face, head, torso, both arms and both hands;
- the complete examination workspace and all permitted materials;
- the screen of the device running Exam.net; and
- sufficient space around the workspace to ensure that no person, paper, device or other object can enter or leave the examination area without being seen.
You must be the only person in the room. Both hands and all examination materials must remain fully within the camera view, with sufficient space between them and the edge of the image. The room must be well lit, quiet and free from additional visible screens.
We may provide guidance on your proposed setup, but you remain responsible for ensuring that it meets all requirements. An insufficient camera view or failure to follow the conduct rules may result in removal from the examination or the examination being declared invalid, including after a later review of the recording.
Test and adjust your camera setup well in advance. Do not wait until the examination day to identify practical or technical problems.
